These are actual case histories of problems presented to and results achieved by Coast Diversified Consulting Services.  A CDCS Principal testified as a designated expert in each of the following cases:


CLIENT:   Notrica’s 32nd Street Markets

CASE:  Joe Notrica dba Notrica’s 32nd St. Markets v. State Fund (1999) 70 Cal.App.4th 911, 83 Cal. Rptr. 2d 89 [rev. denied 7/14/99].

PROBLEMMisrepresentation

RESULT: The jury awarded our client in excess of $20,000,000.00 after determining that the insurance company acted with fraud.  This amount was reduced by the Appellate court to $5,400,000.00 and paid, with interest, by State Fund.

CLIENTWestward Ho 7 Seas Motel dba Super 8 Motel

CASE:  Upheld by Court of Appeal, State of California, 4th Appellate District, Div. 3, GO25367, unpublished, filed November 27, 2000.

PROBLEMFinal Premium Dispute Case

RESULT:  The jury found that the insurance company’s actions constituted malice and oppression and ordered them to pay our client over $2,500,000.00.


CLIENTMacGregor Yacht Corporation

CASE: MacGregor Yacht Corp. v. State Fund, (1998) 63 Cal.App.4th 448, 74 Cal. Rptr. 2d 473 [rev. denied 7/29/98].

PROBLEM:   Claims Dispute

RESULT: The insurance company was ordered to pay $300,000.00 to the policyholder.


CLIENT:   TriCor California, Inc.

CASE: TriCor California, Inc. v. State Fund, (1994) 30 Cal.App.4th, 230, 35 Cal.Rptr.2d 550 [rev. denied 2/23/95].

PROBLEMClaims Dispute

RESULT: The insurance company was ordered to pay $250,000 to the policyholder.
